More cold weather riding ahead for me.
I rode to Daytona Bikeweek (March 2016) from Ohio in 34 to 42 degree weather without any heated gear. No more. I learned about Gerbing's Gyde wear at a Green Beret Foundation fund raiser.
I have ridden 1,100 miles since Christmas (last 2 months) with the Ex Pro Jacket, Ex Pro over pants, and Vanguard gloves. The Bluetooth Thermogauge dual controller worked great. I am please with all of the products and have since bought the heated socks liners, lightweight heated gloves (sale price I couldn't pass up) and a Gerbing base layer shirt. - Jacket liner has a 'thumb' slot to keep the jacket from riding up your arms;
Rode 175 miles in the cold rain and no leaks;
No hot spots in any of the items (Couldn't even tell that the Vanguard gloves were heated. My hands were very comfortable.)
Pockets on jacket and pants are well placed and functionable
No bulky under layers are needed.

Product Image Gerbing GT5 12V Hybrid Heated Motorcycle Gloves
I bought these to replace my 20+ year old Gerbings. The old gloves still work, but the waterproofing is finally breaking down to the point they were leaking in the rain. The new glove is nylon, and a bit lighter in construction than the old ones. The heating element is much more efficient than the older single wire design, and covers your hand in heated surface, including the palms. The gauntlet is much larger than the old glove, and the light design gives me greater dexterity than the older leather glove. - Modern heating element gives much greater heat coverage.
All nylon construction yields greater dexterity.
Large gauntlet seals against drafts.

This is a high quality glove that is well made and fits well. Premium materials make it a good product.
Price is comparable to a well made glove without heat, but with added advantage of heat. - Well made and styled

Fits over jacket sleeve as it should
Stays warm and perfect for my winter riding into the low 30's

my husband says it's the difference between night and day riding with the heated vest on - he absolutely loves it! -

I wish these "new and improved" gloves had the dexterity of the gloves I bought in 2015. The only problem I had with them was that the battery pocket was just a little too small. These newer gloves take longer to heat and the fingers don't heat as well as the earlier mode.

When the batteries work this is a fine pair of gloves. However, the batteries often don't work, they don't hold a charge. Since I have Reynaud's, keeping my hands warm in winter is an absolute necessity. The gloves alone are nowhere near warm enough. Today I took the fully charged batteries to the Oregon Coast where the winds were high and cold. The batteries barely lasted three quarters of an hour on high, and my hands turned to ice. The gloves need to be a lot more waterproof, and the battery charge is a genuine issue. The dexterity is excellent for gloves like this, gauntlets nice and long. So many things to like and appreciate. But the batteries, the batteries. I have to constantly charge and recharge and they do not hold the charge at all.

Glove problem and Gerbing's fix
I bought a pair of these gloves which I recently began wearing a great deal due to being on the Oregon coast during winter and also, I recently discovered severe arthritis in both hands. The gloves developed issues, long story short: I called Gerbing, they asked me to send the gloves in. In no time I got a call explaining that the gloves had shorted out, and they were sending me a new pair AND a new set of batteries. I was expecting a hefty repair bill. Nope. I'm not only delighted that they took care of this so swiftly, I am deeply grateful that they replaced the gloves and I got new batteries to boot. I use battery-operated gloves in my adventure travel as well, so they are a lifesaver. As someone with Reynaud's these gloves allow me to continue to play hard in the outdoors no matter the weather. When I am recovering from upcoming hand surgery they will be a terrific comfort. Thanks to the Gerbing team for swift response and excellent service.
